Andy has developed a new type of kettle and travels to the "big city" to secure a patent. Once there, he becomes entangled in a series of misadventures involving a patent attorney's wife, which makes it look like he is having an affair. The various mix-ups and accusations threaten to turn a simple business trip into an "alienation of affections" lawsuit, and his great kettle invention is nearly forgotten in the ensuing chaos.
