1954
Feisty reporter Joan insists on driving to her next assignment in Edinburgh solo. Along the way she has a flat tire and a passerby lends a hand, she in kind offers him a lift. As she finds out more information about him she starts making assumptions and her fears rise.
Joan now a prominent artist meets the man who rescued her from a brutal and traumatized existence with a savage husband in the jungle. In flashback we see what happened.

A cabaret dancer witnesses a murder and is forced to hide from gangsters by disguising herself as a male Princeton student
1953
An inmate tending the prison grounds notices the woman next door neighbor often watches him. He sneaks over to visit and tells her he will be released in two weeks. He says he plans on coming for her to take her away. While she has pleaded with her husband to move away from the prison, he has his reasons for wanting to stay. The prisoner could be the answer to her problem.
1956
In 1887 France, a mother is starting to become worried about her young son. He has a recurring dream in which he looks for his dead father. His mother gets worried even more when he tells her that he has met a wealthy nobleman who wants to take him aboard ship for a trip to the West Indies.
At the beginning of the 20th century, a rich American boy touring Europe with his uncle stops at a trendy German resort and meets a pretty young girl who is there with her mother, a widow. The young couple fall for each other, until the young girl's mother's past begins to have an effect on their relationship.
1966
A man becomes part of a secret society of people who live in a department store and quickly falls in love with their leader’s young maid.
1968
Riley Walker arrives at an Italian villa with an injured hand; he had cut his hand whilst attempting to get into the neighbouring villa belonging to his aunt. He introduces himself to the residents and stays until his aunt, Mrs Panzack, returns. Speaking to his aunt it is revealed that the visit was a ruse to meet the occupants of the house and in particular Maggie Brown, who is in possession of some diamonds they are interested in.
Murder is involved when an intruder is found in a large department store just after it closes.
2003
Clement, a shy and repressed young man is living on a Caribbean island. Working on the beach, he serves refreshments to the tourists basking in the sun. His shyness and his lack of insurance with girls push him to consult a marabout ...
In 2267, the USS Enterprise arrives at Starbase 11 in response to a subspace call First Officer Spock reported receiving from the former captain of the Enterprise, Christopher Pike, under whom Spock had served. Captain Kirk and Spock meet the starbase commander, Commodore Mendez. Mendez informs them that Pike could not have sent any message, as a recent accident has left him with locked-in syndrome, unable to move or communicate other than answering yes/no questions with the aid of a device operated by his brainwaves. Pike refuses to communicate with anyone except Spock. After Kirk and Mendez leave to discuss the situation, Spock reveals, over Pike's repeated "no" signals, that he intends to carry out a plan that he has made.
1967
Two people start to live together and raise children and a double pattern is set. You're a couple and one day you realise who or what you were before. But Frances must find herself again and runs to where the ships sail.
